Ayurvedic GFT approach
GFT method is one of many therapeutic approaches found in Ayurveda. This is the basis of the traditional Keralan masters' approach to every prescription and treatment protocol.
Body is divided into three zones such as gut, fluids and tissues for easy understanding. Nutrients travel gut > fluid > tissues and waste material in the reverse fashion. Disease settles down in a tissue. So the treatment method is by utilising these zones.
Hence when prescription such as Tiktakam Ks + Kaishoraguggulu Pill + Trivrit Lh are given in soft tissue inflammation, the first is repairing the damaged tissues (dissolves and dislodge the toxins and starts the tissue repair), the second recipe moves the debris and toxins are pushed through the fluid into the gut and the third one flushes the gut, preventing further absorption of the toxins.
When we take herbs to fix a health condition, without one of these three elements, we might be leaving the toxins somewhere in the body - and not flushing them fully. This provides an opportunity for the toxins to be re-lodged somewhere else and be active at an appropriate time!
This method is called shuddha-chikitsa - pure healing.
