• Marma is a Sanskrit word originally meaning hidden or secret. In our body, a marma is a juncture on the body where two or more types of tissue meet, such as muscles, veins, ligaments, bones or joints. 
  
• ​Although Marmas are much more than a casual connection of tissue and fluids, they are points of the vital life force.
  
• A Marma is essentially a vital point, fatal point, junction of doshas, pranas, gunas and so on.
